2 pts in 1 vol., 4to: [12]-195-[1 bl.], [8]-77 pp.; 40 pl. (some sl. foxing, ff. in begin. of 2nd part sl. age-toned, K2 blank).
Contemp. vellum, flat spine with gilt-titled label, red spr. edges. Good copy.
First edition of this work on ancient and modern Rome by F. de Ficoroni (1664-1747), Italian connoisseur and antiquarian in Rome. Illustrated with copper-engravings: 38 full-page pl., 2 fold. pl. and 28 in-text ill. depicting mostly views of antique buildings and sculptures; orn. initials and title-vignette with the coat of arms of pope Benedict XIV.
