Lot description

Two broken, some corroded.

41 diapositives with views from America, more in detail New York and Washington: 26 diapositives originating from the "Trade-mark" series, with legends printed on tiny top labels: a.o. Liberty Statue, Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Capitol, Fifth Avenue Hotel, Senate, Lafayette Square, etc.; 9 diapositives originating from the Projections Molteni, Radiguet & Massiot series showing mostly educational images (reproductions) about the transatlantic journey; and 6 diapositives from an unidentified series also about the same subjects.
138 negatives on glass and 6 developed images showing a well-to-do family and probably Belgian landscapes together with some kind of ms. inventory (not exhaustive and difficult to read). Mainly family and group pictures (children and elderly), street and monument views (a.o. Leuven City Hall and Basilica Scherpenheuvel), portraits (with nature of an interior as background), not often images from inside an Art-Deco-like café styled with dito advertising posters and wall art. Some particular ones: a view of a tram indicating "tramways Lieg[e]", a procession at Namur, lace-making ladies and one indicating "Pepinster" (construction of a railway (?)).
