1. "Grotto" from the Nikolais Dance Theatre. - 2. "Index" from the Murray Louis Dance Company.
The Nikolas Dance Theatre was created by the American choreographer Alwin Nikolais (1910-1993), best known for his self-designed innovative costume, lighting and production design. He was named the "father of multi-media theater". Nikolais was the mentor of Murray Louis (1926-2016). Murray founded his company in 1968. The companies of Nikolais and Murray merged in 1989.
