Extensive personal archive of Théodore-Joseph Canneel (Ghent 1817-1892), a Belgian painter and director of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. Containing letters from friends and family (envelopes and stamps included), business correspondence, obituaries, invitations, school mark-lists of his children, newspapers (Belgian and Italian), nobility letters, drawings and many other documents. With correspondence i.a.: Jean-Baptiste Bethune, Pierre Philippe Antoine De Breyne-Peellaert, Oswald de Kerchove de Denterghem, Godfried Guffens, Jean-François Loos, Constantin Meunier, Jean-François Portaels, Gustave Rolin-Jaequemyns, Joseph Stallaert, t' Kindt de Roodebeke, Louis Tytgadt, Gustaaf Vanaise, etc.
