Green blind stamped publ. cloth, gilt title on front cover, flat spine, a.e.g. (spine faded).

First edition illustrated with an engraved title and 78 topographical views of the rivers Thames and Medway in England, set in elegant decorative borders and engraved after the drawings of the English artist William Tombleson (1795 - ca. 1846). Also, with some illustrations in-text. Historical descriptions by W.G. Fearnside.
Joined: Énault, Louis - Angleterre, Écosse, Irlande [...]. Paris, Morizot, 1859. 8vo. Publ. binding: gilt & colour romantic pictorial cloth (incl. coat of arms of United Kingdom). First edition illustrated with 20 steel-engravings (Parliament of London, Dublin, Cobh in County Cork, Glasgow etc.). By Énault (1824-1900), French journalist, novelist and translator. (2 vol.)
