Collection of critical pamphlets in the form of letters, published in different issues each with its own title. In popular and snappy language, the "Seminarie-generaal" (founded by Joseph II in 1786 in Leuven) is criticised by Ernestus de Keuremenne, pseudonym for Jan Jozef van den Elsken (1759-1803), lecturer at the Atrecht College in Leuven and pastor in Humbeek after the university was closed down. Engr. ill.: 4 pl. in text i.a. 1 with musical notation, 10 full-page plates and 4 folding plates. They show allegories or caricatural cartoons (i.a. on the religious politics of Joseph II) that determined the success of the writings of Keuremenne. Enriched with a later front. author's portrait by L.A. Claessens. "The "Versamelinge" is a collection of previously separately issued editions.
