18 albumen prints, sepia, 26 x 37,8 cm, mounted on thick paper, 14 (of 18) signed by the photographer.
Half red shagreen with corners, cloth on gilt titled covers, flat spine (some sm. parts of leather missing, covers sl. discoloured).
Beautiful album on Egypt with photos from A. Beato (6 pcs) (1835-1906), Italian-British photographer noted for his views of the architecture and landscapes of Egypt and other locations in the Mediterranean region. P. Sébah (4 pcs) (1823-1886), photographer in Constantinople (now Istanbul) and Cairo, who produced a prolific number of images of Egypt to serve the tourist trade and H. Béchard (3 pcs) (active Cairo, 1869-1880s). Among the images: ruins and temples, rocks at Konosso Island, the banks of the Nile at Korosko (settlement in former Egyptian Nubia, now North Sudan), water carriers at Beni Hassan, crocodile hunters, Arab villages, etc.
