First Dutch edition (orig. 1613) of this early history of the negotiations for the Twelve Years' Truce (1609-1621) by the Leiden professor Baudius (1561-1613), trsl. from the Latin by P.J. van Suyderwoude. Engr. ill.: vign. on title and 4 folding pl. showing the handshake between Prince Maurice and Spinola at their entry into Rijswijk (2 copies; 1 signed J. Fokke and Is. Tirion, from another ed.?), the negotiating table and the festivities in the centre of The Hague. Missing the 4th plate with the portraits of the 18 participants.
