Lot description
4to: [15-1 bl.] ff. (toned).
Mod. half cloth, marbled paper on covers, mod. endpapers. Very good, partly uncut copy.
Very rare Dutch prose and verse satire on "wicked" women, a typical example of the anti-marriage literature. Probably an abbreviated Dutch adaptation of the "Ethographia [...]. Malus Mulier" (1608) of the Magdeburg priest Johann Sommer (1559-1622). The present work is the only title printed by J. Symonssz in the STCN. Copy with the often missing blank D4. Printed in Gothic and roman type.
Ref. STCN. - Not in Simoni.
