First collected edition of works of the highly reputed Calvinist Protestant and Swiss physician Tissot (1728-1797). Contains his work on smallpox, apoplexy, onanism, "Sur la santé des gens de lettres" (giving useful guidance on food and diet to the scholars and on the dangers facing people who dedicate too much time to study!), "Avis au peuple sur sa santé" (most famous work of Tissot), etc.
