Lot description

2 parts (of 4) in 1 vol., folio: [2]-clxxvi, [8]-cxxvi ff. (1st title underlaid repairing a loss of paper (part of the engr. missing replaced by hand), marg. dampstaining, one single wormhole in text throughout (2 in the end of vol.), marg. sm. tears (some strengthened)).

Mod. blindstamped leather in the style of 16th-c. bindings, spine with raised bands, red edges, metal clasps & catches (spine faded, trimmed, sometimes cut very short).

"Philosophica" and "Rhetorica, Oratori & Forensia" works. Follows the 1511 ed., also published by Petit and Badius. Text decorated with dotted initials of various sizes. Red & black titles within identical engr. orn. porticos (the 1st with Badius' mark, the 2nd with Petit).
