Map designed and engraved by Ch. Normand for J. Lavalle's "Histoire et statistique de la vigne et des grands vins de la Côte-d'Or" (Paris/Dijon, Dusac/Picard etc., 1855). As director of the botanical garden in Dijon, Lavalle wrote the first complete history of the great vineyards. The map, based upon cadastral plans, shows the vineyards plots located on the hills from Chagny to Dijon.
