Beschrijving lot
Bronze, diam. 3,7 cm, encircled in a silver frame, diam. 5,5 cm; obverse: head of Leopold I facing left with circular inscription "Léopold premier roi des Belges"; reverse: inscription "I. Impens Levendeghem 6 [novem]bre 1836" in an oak wreath with a circular inscription "actes de courage et de dévouement" (some dark stains on the frame). Very good copy.
The medal is unsigned, but can be attributed to the Ghent engraver Pierre-Joseph Braemt (1796-1864).

Belgium, 1980. 3,7 cm; obverse: heads of the five kings of the Belgians facing left in separate medallions, legend "1830 België 1980" with a small crown above lower year; reverse: map of Belgium inscribed with text "150 jaar onafhankelijkheid van België", "500 F", signed "WBB", "PH".
