Lion rampant facing right from Famiano Strada's "De bello Belgico". Following the Von Aitzing-Hogenberg model, eight different plates were engraved for Strada's book. Those present are: 1. "De bello Belgico decas prima [...]." Antwerp, J. Cnobbaert, 1635. The 1st st. of the 2nd Latin edition, which is the first one printed in the Netherlands. - 2. "De bello Belgico decas II [...]." Antwerp, Widow and Heirs of J. Cnobbaert, 1648. Engraved title, 1st st., to the first of the Decas Secunda editions printed in the Netherlands.
