19th-c. paper wrapper over cardboard, flat spine (lacks of paper to spine).

Second edition (1st: 1721) of this collection of letters on light, blood boiling, viper venom, odours, description of the Villa di Lonchio (Tuscany), etc. The Count L. Magalotti (1637-1712) was a philosopher, diplomat and poet.
