Finely coloured map of the Lake Geneva area, oriented to the southeast, after Jacques Goulart. Published by J. Hondius in the 1606 Latin edition of Mercator's "Atlas sive cosmographicae meditationes". Some issues had a series of 5 portraits engraved along the lower border (Calvin etc.); our variant has these portraits covered before printing.
