Leuven ed. (1st Lyon 1702) of a popular treatise on Christian education by the French Jesuit Gisbert (1657-1731). The copy was acquired 9 June 1768 by Jan Frans van de Velde (1743-1823), at the time a student of theology, later serving as university librarian and college president. Van de Velde, a passionate book collector, was already bibliographically inclined in his student days. On the front flyleaf of this copy he noted 6 similar titles for further reading.
