Interesting set of photos documenting airships made in France: The airship "Russie", built at the Lebaudy factory, and following the lines of the very succesful "République" airship, making its first flight from Moisson carrying 7 passengers in 1909. The airship the "España", built by the construction company Astra, making its first flight in Beauval. Constructed for the Spanish army who wanted to use it in Morocco. Also a photo of the same ship deflated after the emergency landing by the pilot Airault (on photo). The airship "Colonel Renard", built by Astra in Beauval, makes its first flight. The airship "Ville-de-Nancy", built by Astra has to land at Faremoutiers after difficulties with the engine and propeller.
Joined: 3 diapositives with 4 photos each depicting people attending an airship event, 7 x 22,8 cm. (23 pcs)
