Contemp. richly gold-tooled brown leather, wide ornamental border on covers, gilt spine on 5 raised bands, a.e.g., red silk endpapers (sl. rubbed, sm. def. at head and lower cover). Very good copy.

Nice, often re-issued Book of Hours "written" by the famous French calligrapher Louis Senault (1630-1680). In this "censored" ed. the original dedication leaf (to "La Dauphine") is omitted and the Sirens’ breasts on p. 210 are covered. Engraved frontispiece by Coypel after Raymond. Entirely engraved, within double ruled border. Nicely hand-coloured ill.: 15 full-page and numerous nice vignettes.
