"Probably the most significant [French dental] author after Fauchard" (Hoffmann-Axthelm). "Bourdet's greatest contributions were to dental prosthetics. He also described severe periodontoclasia and his treatment of the condition - similar to modern gingivectomy" (Garrison & Morton). Our edition unknown to Wellcome (cites the 1782 ed. by Mourer in Lausanne and the 1787 ed. by Desoer).
states that the 1782 ed. was publ. by Mourer in Lausanne. Following Wellcome the edition of Desoer was publ. in 1787.
