A skilful sketch made on a piece of scrap paper showing the interior of a court room or dungeon. Two men are chained to the wall, while a third on the left is standing on a flight of stairs. Perhaps a justice scene. The drawing has been glued on to a fragment of an 18th-century Italian ornament print with cartouches and grotesques.
