Beschrijving lot
Coloured map on laid paper with watermark (D & C Blauw), 38 x 49 cm, ink and watercolour (marg. dam., some soiling, right bottom corner with rest.).
View by Seggel of the fortified city of Menen, which was a strategic location. Consequently, in 1706 and in 1793, the city fell into the hands of the French, whose urge to expand was difficult to stop.
