Around the year 1961, Sherry Young "sashayed onstage at Paris' Folies Bergère in a brief costume and a huge headpiece. Cavorting, whirling, wriggling, she captivated the first night audience with a dazzling display of the fleshy artistry dear to the heart of Parisians" (Ebony). 3.-4.
