First edition, ill. with 20 full-page lithographed pl. by the Bruges artist Josephus-Gislenus Canneel (1821-1888): title within architectural frame and 19 portraits of bishops, from Pierre De Corte to Jean-Baptiste Malou. Without the folding map and last 2 ff. mentioned by de le Court. Enriched with 6 modern, caricatural drawings in black ink on velin paper (27 x 21 cm), after portraits of members of the families de Hennin Liétard and de Haynin, i.a. "Pierre de Haynin, grand bailli de Hainaut", "Th. Ph. de Hennin Lietard d'Alsace Cardinal-Archevêque de Malines", "Charles Marcelin de Hennin Liétard, Prince d'Hénin & du Saint Empire" and "Marie Françoise de Hennin Lietard d'Alsace, Marquise de Haynin-Grandglise".
