Contemp. red morocco, central gilt coat of arms in a triple fillet frame, gilt-orn. spine with cypher and raised bands, gilt roll on squares and turn-ins, a.e.g. (sm. dark stain on upper board). Very good copy.
Rare edition, with 10 (and not 7) tragedies : Hercules furens, Thyestes, Thebais, Hippolytus, Oedipus, Troas, Medea, Agamemnon, Octavia, Hercules Oetaeus. Two Jérôme de Marnef printer's marks: pelican mark on title and griffin mark imitating that of Gryphe with the motto "Comes invidia, virtutis et gloria" on last f.
