Contemp. mottled sheep, covers ruled with gilt roll-stamps, richly gilt spines with raised bands, red edges (front joint of vol. 3 partly split & def., sm. scratch on front board of vol. 3, spines sl. rubbed, corners bumped). Large paper copy.
Second, more complete, ed. (1st 1641-1644) of the most important topographical work on Flanders by Sanderus (1586-1664). Engr. ill. by J. Harrewijn en Blokhuysen: 90 portraits, 19 maps, and 138 plates, many of them with 2 figures, representing city maps and views of towns, villages, abbeys, castles, monuments in Flanders; 17 engravings in-text: 3 title-vign. by D. Coster, coat of arms of H.J. van Susteren, other views and plan, 1 coat of arms. Among the engraved town views are those of Ghent, Nieuwpoort, Bruges and Ypres. Titles in red & black.
