Contemp. sheep, gilt-ruled border on covers, spine with raised bands, a.e.g. (rubbed, spine partly dam.). Good copy.
Rare later ed. of Lipsius' treatise on the duties of rulers. A repr. of the 1606 Moretus ed. with an additional privilege of the Archdukes.

Prov. Brussels prize book with the prize awarded to "Franciscus Kintschot Bruxell." as "2dus ex minoribus ad maiores figuras", incl. a 5-line Latin poem in his praise. François (II) Kinschot (1616-1700), baron of Rivière, of Jette (etc.) was in 1659 created a count by Philip IV of Spain.
