Folio: [4 incl. engr. title]-198-[1] pp. (engr. title pasted on laid paper, title re-margined; some light dampst., mostly marginal, but sl. affecting pl. in 3rd part).
19th-c. brown sheep in an old style with blind-stamped boards and spine with raised bands, speckled edges (corners sl. bumped).
Later Dutch translation (after the 1568 Plantin transl.) of the major anatomical work by the Spanish physician Valverde (1525-1588), seen as the "the most original of the "plagiarisms" from Vesalius". Ill. with an engr. title and 42 full-page anatomical pl. after the ill. by Vesalius.
