Beschrijving lot
Folio: [2]-218-[4] pp., brown ink on laid paper, in Dutch, French and Latin, coats of arms drawn with ink and mostly watercoloured (occ. sm. stains).
Contemp. overlapping vellum, ms. title and shelf-mark label on spine (head-endcap torn, some soiling). Good copy.
Armorial signed by a member of the Seven Lineages or Seven Patrician families of Brussels who was Captain in the "Garde bourgeoise" (citizen militia) in 1669-1670. His large coat of arms (uncoloured) are reproduced on title. Ill. with numerous coats of arms (some unachieved) and transcriptions of epigraphic inscriptions from tombs, monuments, stained glasses, obits etc. from various churches in Brussels and Leuven, a.o. Ms. table of names at the end.
