Complete series of the French review on the international photographic work of the time, comprising eleven consecutive volumes published annually between 1930 and 1947 (with interruptions during the war years). The volumes 1930-1941 (with the double issue 1933/34) and 1947 are present. Including photographic contributions and texts by Man Ray, Léon-Paul Fargue, Paul Léautaud, Philippe Soupault, Jean Cocteau, Paul Éluard, Pierre Mac Orlan, Roger Schall and photographs by Brassaï, Bill Brandt, Aenne Biermann, Florence Henri, André Kertész, Germaine Krull, Sasha Stone, Sougez, Tabard and many others. Each issue contains around 120 pages of images, the selection included works by established photo artists as well as photographs by unknown amateur photographers. The first volume with the important essay "Photographie vision de monde" by Waldemar George. Remarkable documentation of European photography between the Great Depression and the Second World War and one of the outstanding graphic publications before the Second World War due to the variety of themes and design approaches. Rarely complete.
