Rare well-printed original edition of a famous collection of Latin pastoral poetry, posthumously published by the poet’s admiring friends. Andrea Navagero (1483-1529) was a Venetian diplomat, poet and scholar. He was a.o. a collaborator of Aldus Manutius, a custodian of the library of San Marco, and a skilful diplomat.
