Second edition (1st 1590), with the addition of Bernardino Stramegioli's chapter on sundials, of a summary of Vitruvius remained unfinished at its author's death in c. 1587. Abundantly illustrated with more than 160 finely wood-engraved ill. of various sizes from in-text to full-page. Title within ornamented frame. Copy in variant B with the name of Francesco Valvense and date 25 may at end. The Venetian architect and hydraulic engineer for the Republic of Venice, Rusconi, draughted with Palladio the Palazzo municipale in Brescia in 1562, rebuilt together the Doge's Palace after the fire of 1577 and constructed the Palazzo Grimani.
