Beautiful portrait of the Belgian pianist and countess Louisa de Mercy-Argenteau (1837-1890), born Marie-Clotilde-Élisabeth Louise de Riquet de Caraman-Chimay. She was active in Paris, Belgium and Saint Petersburg. The famous Russian painter Ilya Repin also painted her portrait (Moscow, Tretyakov Gallery).
