Beschrijving lot
Black chalk, grey wash, 22,4 x 18,0 cm, laid paper with watermark (crowned Amsterdam coat of arms with lions), attributed on verso "Veragen de Louvain" (few spots, few creases, hinges on verso).
Pierre Joseph Verhaghen (1728-1811) was a follower of Rubens and made several paintings of St James, now at M Leuven and St James's Church in Leuven (BALAT, inv. 115790, 50008).
