Rather uncommon monumental new exact impression with ancient types on laid paper by the Imprimerie Nationale of "Architecture françoise, ou Recueil des plans, élévations, coupes et profils des églises, maisons royales, palais, hôtels & édifices les plus considérables de Paris" published by Ch.-A. Blondel (1705-1774) was an architect and influential teacher, first at his own school of architecture and from 1755 on at the Académie royale d'architecture; he also was appointed architect to Louis XV and he wrote several articles for Diderot-D'Alembert 's "Encyclopédie".
