Framed.
Half-length portrait of a man with a sword in a blue vest and cape, richly decorated with gold thread and fur. The provenance suggests the sitter is an Austrian-Hungarian nobleman.
Prov. "KIVITELRE ENGEDELYEZVE - M.N.G." ("approved for export - Hungarian National Gallery") (stamp, see also British Museum, inv. 1998,1003.21). - Géberth, antique dealer in Budapest (label).
