Ladapo Samuel Ademola II (1872-1962), King of Abeokuta, ruler of the Egba clan. The Alake of Egbaland is the paramount Yoruba king of the Egba, a clan in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria. The firm of Langfier Ltd was founded in 1895 by a Frenchman, M. Langfier, on Old Bond Street, London. The firm opened a second branch on Finchley Road, and by the early 1920s it had about fifty employees. Both addresses occur on the photographer's stamp. Langfier Ltd went into liquidation during the Second World War.
