Engr., on 2 sheets, together c. 58,5 x 95 cm (traces of a horizontal and 2 vertical folds, some sm. spots).
Under passe-partout and gilt frame.
Large bird's-eye view of Brussels, oriented to the east, depicting the medieval ramparts with the gates and the fortifications including fort Monterey, the court of the Archdukes with the Warande, the town hall, the churches and convents, etc. Engraved by J. Harrewijn after J. Laboureur & J. Vander Baren, surveyors, decorated with a large cartouche and a perspective view with allegorical figures, dedicated to Maximilian-Emanuel of Bavaria (1662-1726). In all a very detailed and interesting topographical view.
