In 1684, the widow Schipper published "Van de Grootdadigheyt der Breedt-Vermaerde Regeringhe van de Stadt Brugge [...]", which is the translation of De Damhouder's "The magnificentia politiae amplissimae civitatis Brugarum". This work is a later reissue, earlier ones appeared in 1688 and 1699. Enriched with 46 portraits from J. Meyssens' "Effigies des Forestiers et Comtes de Flandres [...]" and the portraits of Charles II of Spain by M. vanden Enden and Philip IV of Spain by P. de Jode.
