Rare wall map, incl. a separate decorative border with decorative vignettes. Ornated with an elaborate title cartouche, the map figures Africa, a part of Southern Europe, the Arabian peninsula and very small parts of America and Asia at the sides. The border contains 8 larger and 12 smaller historical vignettes with explanatory texts in French and Spanish, depicting important historical, mythological and biblical scenes (o.a. the death of Dido, the Queen of Sheba, the death of Cleopatra).
