Large, detailed wall map, incl. the separate decorative border (on 8 sheets) with historical vignettes. The map (on 4 sheets) is ornated with a very large allegorical title cartouche and a sea battle off the coast of Spain and Portugal. The border contains 2 large text cartouches, completed with 30 finely engraved vignettes with text depicting both historical scenes or various countries (o.a. the Sack of Rome, the baptism of Clovis, the fall of Constantinople).
