8vo: xv-[1 bl.]-235 pp. (without the rare errata leaf [2H]1, some min. marg. staining).
Contemp. mottled calf, gilt flat spine, red edges (sl. rubbed, joints splitting). Good copy.
Rare first edition, containing 3 engr. folding maps (Brabant, battles of Tongeren and of Rocoux) and 4 printed fold. tables (battle formations). The work is a campaign journal of Maurice of Saxony (1696-1750), from May to October 1746, with details on the movements in Brabant (Brussels, Dendermonde, Tienen, Leuven, Mechelen, Aarschot, etc.), Campine (Lier, Turnhout, Grobbendonk, etc.) and Namur (siege of Namur, with statistics on wounded and dead).
