Folio: cxli (= 141)-[6] ff. (single wormholes through a number of quires, wormtracks throughout with loss of letters, dampstain in top inner margin of central quires, a few marg. tears mended) [bound after] ID. - Pomerium sermonum [...]. Ibidem, 19 February 1516. Folio: [222 (of 224?)] ff. (lacking 2 blanks, 2nd Table erroneously bound between quires s-t).
Cont. blind-tooled calf over wood, covers with lozenge-shaped stamps and roll-stamps, spine on 4 raised bands, metal clasps and catches (rubbed, rebacked, new endpapers). Very good copy.
1. Hagenau edition of a popular collection of sermons on the Holy Virgin by the Hungarian preacher Pelbárt Temesvári (1435-1504). Title in red and black within elaborate woodcut border with initials "HG". Gothic type, in 2 cols. Ref. VD-16 P-1216. - Benzing (Hagenau) 151. - Not in Adams, STC German (BL). 2. Another collection of sermons, now for the liturgical year. Same title-border and layout as the 1515 collection. Ref. VD-16 P-1189 (calls for [234] ff., but our copy apparently complete, whereas the digitized Münich copy has a number of duplicate images [or ff.?]). - Benzing 162. - Not in Adams, BnF, STC German (BL). Prov. A few old annotations. - Old ownership entries on 1st title. - Capuchins of Edingen/Enghien (libr. stamp and ticket). - Arenberg copy (?, pencil note on front flyleaf).
