Reprint of the 1613 Antwerp ed. (1st 1605). It contains the 2 first chapters (of 6) of a work designed as a complement of the "Politicorum sive civilis doctrinae libri sex", dealing with religion and government. Lipsius only published the 2 first chapters because he despaired of being able to complete the rest. Plantin's mark on title.
