4to: 51 pl. (pl. 54 missing showing the interior of a church).
Mod. half cloth with corners, marbled paper on covers, flat gilt-titled spine.
Dutch adaptation of "L'idea dell'architettura universale" (Venice 1615) by Vincenzo Scamozzi (1552-1616), and a manual on the five orders of architecture composed for the use of craftsmen by Simon Bosboom (1614-1662), Dutch architect and the stonemason of the city of Amsterdam. He was responsible for the hundreds of capitals and column bases on the new city hall of Amsterdam. Our copy illustrated with 51 full-page engr. pl. incl. the title and 2 engr. in-text. The church design (pl. 51) is signed by Bosboom. Copy with the plans of a church designed by Bosboom (pl. 52-53).
