Old vellum, ink-titled spine with raised bands, speckled edges (spine defected, corners bumped, sl. soiled).

First edition published in Italian with new woodcuts but with the map of the Netherlands from an existing copper plate. The rare print of the Antwerp city hall, "domus senatoria Antverpien", is also copper-engraved. Ill.: title and 2 dedicatory front. with the coat of arms and the portrait of Philip II, 5 maps and 12 city maps & views on double page.
