Contemp. vellum, central gilt coat of arms on boards gilt-ruled with two roll-stamps (with sm. blazons), one with armorial fleurons at corners, gilt-orn. spine with arm. fleurons, spr. edges (lower board rubbed, spine darkened, two spots on front board).
Standard ed. of Seneca's tragedies given by Johann Caspar Schröder after Gronovius' version. Also with notes from Lipsius, J.-J. Scaliger, D. and N. Heinsius, etc. Ill. with an engr. title and 2 in-text ill. fig. coins.
