Part I is an anatomical treatise (pp. 3-188, Index pp. 189-192), mainly dealing with human anatomy (pp. 1-176, pp. 1-2 on the circulation of the blood missing), but also with fishes (pp. 177-179), the digestive system of animals (pp. 180-183) and birds (pp. 184-188). Part II is the surgical treatise (pp. 193-572).
