4 parts in 1 vol., folio: [18]-207-[1 bl.], 397-[1], [8]-146, [10]-562-[52] pp. (some min. spotting and staining).
Contemp. calf, richly gilt spine with raised bands, red. sp. edges (sl. rubbed, head, tail and 1 corner expertly repaired). Good copy.
Best edition of this commentary (1st posth. 1615) by the Leuven and Douai theologian Willem Hessels van Est (Gorinchem 1542-1613) on the "Sentences" of Petrus Lombardus (1100-1160), compared to the "Summae theologiae" of Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274). 2 titles in red and black, with engr. mark. Text in 2 col.
