Leaflet, printed recto in b/w, 33,8 x 16,9 cm, with a photomontage titled "Les Travaux forcés" by Leo Dohmen representing Magritte on a Belgian 100 francs note. Neat condition. Famous false pamphlet published by Mariën on the occasion of the great Magritte retrospective. A very successful parody of an advertising leaflet announcing the sale of future paintings by the artist at low prices in order to combat speculation surrounding the purchase of his works. Fun fact: to commemorate the centenary of his birth, Magritte's face will appear on the Belgian 500 francs banknotes. (7 pcs)
